		<description>Yeah, good apples in Kazakhstan.  Alma-ata, the old name of Almaty, is translated into &#039;Grandfather of Apples.&#039;  The newest name just means &#039;City of Apples&#039; now.

Beautiful country and I can&#039;t wait to return early next year for a visit.</description>

		<description>My grandma (not actually related to me but took care of me growing up) lived in Kazakhstan for a few months while her son was there working for the Indian embassy.  Aren&#039;t they known for their apples?  Seems like a fascinating place.</description>
