How much is a life worth in Vietnam?

A sad story here in Vietnam.  A bus carrying students from Saigon to the Giang Dien Falls in the Dong Nai Province collided with a train at a crossing.  Five students died, another 25 were injured.  As compensation, the Saigon Railway Transport Company will give roughly $124.40 for each of the deceased families.  The injured will get between $31.10-$62.20 depending on the seriousness of their injury.  Local residents stated that this accident was one of the most deadliest at this crossing.
