Stuck in the elevator at AIS

Submitted by on Thursday, March 27, 2008 – 10:31 pm2 Comments |

Last week, some of my students and I had a rather interesting episode in the elevator at the American International School. I caught the elevator with my students on the 2nd Floor. We were heading up to the cafeteria located on the 6th Floor. When the elevator reached the 5th Floor it just stopped. No problems, we pressed the alarm several times but it took the security guards about 5 minutes to get us out. The 5 minutes was quite hilarious as you will tell from the photos:

(When they turned the lights on, we saw the ‘H’ with the arrow pointed down. Someone mentioned we were going directly to ‘Hell’ icon smile Stuck in the elevator at AIS )

Oddly enough, the elevator seems to break down daily. This is quite normal in Saigon. A couple months ago, the elevator fell 5 floors at the Saigon Financial Centre. Nobody was hurt but you should use some extreme caution before using an elevator here… icon smile Stuck in the elevator at AIS
