My Veggie Days

Submitted by on Thursday, August 14, 2008 – 11:14 pm2 Comments |

Well, I decided that I will start forcing myself to eat Vegetarian at least three times a week now.  I meant to start this a year ago but I got lax.  Now I am ready.  Hence, Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays will be my Veggie Days.  That also means I will not be drinking any alcohol on those days as well.

Tuesdays and Thursdays will be my Seafood Days, mainly just fish and shrimp.  I will allow Mondays and Saturdays to be my meat days.

Anyway but Annie care to join me? icon smile My Veggie Days

Yesterday I went to the pagoda with my friend. I only ate vegetarian the whole day. Saigon has a lot of Veggie restaurants, some are good, some are bad.

Right now the pagodas offer veggie food for free to anyone. It is the month before the Mid-Autumn Moon Fesival.

No fish sauce on my veggie days :-) I am a soy sauce person since I am half-Japanese :-)

You are in the right place to do it! My live-in mom-in-law observes certain dates on the lunar calendar when we don't eat meat (this weekend is one), but with veggie banh xeo, cha gio, and 800 ways of cooking tofu, we don't miss it. But will you cheat and use nuoc mam?
