Early Morning in Saigon

Submitted by on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 – 9:41 pm4 Comments |

I had an early morning breakfast at the Big C Highland’s Coffee shop in the Phu Nhuan District.  I has been over a year and a half since I have been there.  Scenes like this is all too common in Vietnam.  Construction is everywhere, most people in the city are having construction-fatigue these days.  I miss the old days of Saigon just 6-7 years ago.

I miss the old Saigon as well. Less traffic, nice people and the city just great.

...and a clean city.

You know you are in some place for too long when you are yearning for the good old days! :)

Agreed. In 10-15 years I think Saigon will be much different, very pretty like Singapore. This transition will just have to be endured.
