Took some good pictures of the Tan Son Nhat Airport from Parkson’s Food Court.

ANA Airbus A320 Flight Documents

I am an airline buff.  As a kid, I wanted to be an airline pilot for Japan Airlines.  I think young airline pilot enthusiasts have it lucky these days.  There are all sorts of games, flight simulators, and available online videos to push them in their career paths.  If I hadn’t injured my knees in the Marines, I may have become an airline pilot myself :-)

All Nippon Airways, the largest Japanese airline, has a couple short documentaries online showing it’s flight operations.  The first one I will post today looks at a flight from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) to Yamagata Airport on an Airbus A320.

Turkish Airlines – Memories of Turkey

Turkish Airlines is another one of my favorite airlines.   I flew with them several times since 1999.  I would choose Turkish Airlines in a heart beat if they started offering flights straight to Saigon.  Turkish hospitality is one of the best in the world.  Here are some good Turkish Airlines commercials:

Flying On Empty – Air Transat 236

Here is an interesting MayDay/Air Crash Investigation video on Air Transat 236.  Air Transat 236 had a fuel leak that nearly forced the pilots to ditch in the Atlantic Ocean.  Luckily they were able to glide their Airbus A330 to the Azores, no fatalities.
