My last blog update for today, I promise. I have many more pictures to add this week from my short trip to Phnom Penh.
The photos below are shots of the Tonle Sap from the restaurant where I had breakfast. The Tonle Sap flows into the Mekong River at this point.

After the success of both the Zaman High School and Zaman Primary School, the owners decided to open up the Zaman University. Like Zaman’s primary and high schools, Zaman University will make use of state-of-the-art classroom facilities. First classes will begin in October, 2010. I will actually attend the inauguration at this time.
Currently Zaman University is finishing wiring of the school and more furniture should begin arriving from Turkey shortly.
Zaman University is looking for faculty and teachers, if you are interested, contact them through their website.

While I was in Phnom Penh, I visited my Turkish friends at the Zaman International School. I knew one of the teachers when he taught at the Horizon International Bilingual School here in Saigon. Zaman International Schools was founded in 1997 and currently enrolls over 800 students. Zaman is considered one of the top international schools in Phnom Penh with state of the art facilities. It is a really great school and worth a visit if you ever visit Phnom Penh.
My last night in Phnom Penh, I stayed in one of the rooms available to teachers and guests at the high school. The room was really nice and comfortable.
I only took a few pictures on this trip but I will surely visit these schools several times this year.

For the first two nights in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, I stayed at The Last Home guest house on #21Eo, Street 172, in the backpacker area. I shared a room for about $20 a night which included an air conditioner but no wifi. I really liked my room. The Last Home is located in at the far end of the backpacker area which means it is a little quieter here. For your wifi needs, just visit a nearby coffee shop and/or bar.
You can get some good banana pancakes at the Arrow Bar (#3, Street 172), located hear The Last Home.
Some pictures below:
