When I arrived into the Seattle-Tacoma (Sea-Tac) International Airport, I was surprised to see one of my former AIS students, Vivian (Ha), at customs. We were both waiting for our luggage when she noticed me. It turned out we both flew on the same EVA Air flight from Taipai. Vivian was returning to Seattle after visiting her parents in Hanoi.
Vivian was kind enough to lend me her cell phone so I could call my parents who were already at the airport.
Thanks for your help Vivian

Well, I originally I was going to fly back to the US for the holidays but the plans never panned out. I think I am lucky I did not make the trip. I would probably be stuck at the airport either in Taipai or Seattle with no way to get home. The Seattle area south was head by two snowstorms the last couple of weeks. My parent’s house added 5 inches of snow on top of the already 5 inches on the ground last night.
More snow is expected before Christmas.
Below is a picture from my parent’s house in Winlock, Washington.

(Hmm, can I ride my motorbike here???)
One of my childhood friends, Celeste, just posted a picture from 21 years ago on her Facebook account. I lost contact with Celeste back about 1993-1994. Thanks to Facebook, we got back in touch just last week. I met Celeste through another childhood friend, Scott. Facebook is a great way to get back into touch with friends
