Pre-Tet at my Weightlifting Gym

I know a little late but about three days before Tet, I had my last workout at my gym before the holidays.  I was 20 minutes into my exercises when the gym owner, Mr. Tam, grabbed me to “drink” beer.  I thought he was joking but in the end, he was not.

So in short, my day at the gym went like this:

  1. 5 sets of Leg Press
  2. 5 sets of Leg Press Calf Raises
  3. 5 sets of Leg Extensions
  4. Uncountable drinks of beer and Vietnamese food
  5. Go home and sleep for two hours before my classes

This is Vietnam…:-)

War Remnants Museum – Ho Chi Minh City

A week ago I visited the War Remnants Museum for the first time in Saigon.  It is definitely worth a visit if you really want to see the horrors of war.  Below are some photos from my visit:

Vietnamese Stream Bath

Here is an interesting piece by VietnamNet Bridge.  According to the article, everybody in the Quang Ninh province commune of Vu Oai visits the local stream all year round between the hours of 4-5 pm.  That is a tradition I like :-)
