Mui Ne, located about 2-3 hours north of HCMC, is a popular beach location for Western tourists. It is relatively a short trip with reasonably affordable hotels or bungalows situated right on the beach. I happened to make a 3 day visit to Mui Ne with my friend, Sally, last November. It was the first time I ever visited a beach in Vietnam but well worth it. Many tourists may not realize, but there are many places to visit around the Mui Ne area such as the sand dunes and reclining Buddha.
