VinaGIS Project

1. Project Description

The purpose of the VinaGIS Project is design and implement an application for PDAs, utilizing GPRS, that will assist visitors and tourists in locating various sites such as restaurants, tourist centers, hotels, etc. GRASS, an open source geographic information system software, will be used to digitize the map the Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, and store pertinent tourist information. The VinaGIS Project will be carried out by the Saigon Linux Group made up of Vietnamese and Expat Linux Users.
