Waiting for my luggage at Tan Son Nhat Airport

Saturday, April 11, 2009 By kevmille

When I arrived into Tan Son Nhat Airport last Tuesday, I was surprised at how fast it took to disembark my plane and get through immigration.  The service at the airport has improved significantly since I first came to Vietnam back in May, 2004.  I remember a time that it took 45 minutes to one hour just to get through immigration!  Those days are long gone thankfully.

Unfortunately, getting my bags was another story.  With over 300 EVA Air passengers from Taipai, it took near 45 minutes for my two suitcases to reach me.  This was the longest I ever had to wait for my luggage at Tan Son Nhat Airport.

It was a bit frustrating for me since I was one of the first to arrive at the carousel.  Eventually I got my bags and was able to catch a taxi to my house.  Patience is key here 🙂
